For over 20 years, I’ve been working with websites, expanding my knowledge and developing new skills as the internet has evolved.
It all started with designing websites for brand merchandise in the early days of ecommerce. I was a computer nerd, learning to code, exploring each new platform from Alta Vista to Netscape.
I worked out that there were things I could do to get our websites found online. It’s embarrassing to admit, but for a while there, I thought I’d invented search engine optimisation (SEO).
I mightn’t have invented SEO, but I soon realised I had a talent for translating technical jargon into language business owners could understand.
